Bunded pallets, IBC and drum bunds, and spill kits — secondary containment that helps you store fuels, oils and chemicals safely and compliantly.
Eco Pallets supplies a complete spill containment range for the safe storage and handling of fuels, oils, solvents and chemicals — bunded pallets (spill pallets), IBC bunds, drum bunds and bunding, spill kits and outdoor covers. Secondary containment captures leaks and spills before they reach floors, drains and soil, helping you protect staff, sites and the environment and meet your duty of care.
Choosing the right product comes down to what you store and how much. As a rule, a bund must hold at least 25% of the total volume stored or 110% of the largest single container — whichever is greater. We can help you size drum bunds, IBC bunds and bunded pallets correctly, and match the right spill kit — general purpose, hazchem, or oil & fuel — to the substances on your site. These products support compliance with AS 3780 (the storage and handling of corrosive substances) and state EPA requirements for secondary containment.
Our spill containment products are moulded from chemically resistant polyethylene, are forklift-accessible for safe relocation, and are available with covers and shrouds for outdoor drum and IBC storage. We stock and distribute Australia-wide and supply from single units to bulk orders.

A bunded pallet, or spill pallet, is a base with a built-in containment sump that catches leaks, drips and spills from drums or IBCs before they reach the floor, drains or stormwater. It helps protect staff, the workplace and the environment, and supports compliance with Australian spill-containment obligations for storing oils, chemicals and other liquids.
As a general rule, Australian spill-containment requirements call for a bund that holds the greater of 25% of the total volume stored or 110% of the largest single container, so one 205L drum needs roughly 226L of containment and a 1000L IBC about 1100L. These are general guidelines only; confirm the exact requirement for your site, liquids and dangerous-goods class with the relevant regulations or authority.
Drum bunds are sized to hold 205L drums, from compact 2-drum units up to 4-drum pallets, while IBC bunds are larger, built to contain one or two 1000L IBCs. Match the bund to what you're storing: drums on a drum bund, IBCs on an IBC bund.
Choose a general purpose kit for water-based, oil and non-aggressive chemical spills; a hazchem kit for hazardous and aggressive chemicals such as in labs and chemical storage; and an oil & fuel kit for hydrocarbons, since its absorbents soak up oil and fuel while repelling water, ideal for fuel stores, transport and marine use. All come ready to use in a labelled 120L wheelie bin and in other sizes.
Yes. If drums or IBCs are stored outdoors, a cover or shroud keeps rain, sun and debris off the stored liquids and helps stop contaminated rainwater collecting in the bund. We offer lockable hard covers for security and flat-packed PVC covers with galvanised frames for drum and IBC bunds; the bund itself is usually sold separately.
Many of our bunded pallets offer forklift and pallet jack access so they can be repositioned when empty and safe to move, while low-profile bunds are designed to sit in place. Check the individual product for its handling access.
